Vancouver's Johnny Leverón suspended one game for foul on LA Galaxy's Jose Villarreal

Vancouver Whitecaps FC center back Johnny Leverón has been suspended for one game by the MLS Disciplinary Committee for his foul on Jose Villarreal in the third minute of the LA Galaxy's 3-1 loss to the Whitecaps. 

The Honduran defender was awarded a yellow card for the foul by Sorin StoicaLeverón will serve his suspension for Vancouver's match against the Portland Timbers on May 18.

The suspension was only one of the MLS Disciplinary Committee's five rulings on Wednesday, which included one game suspensions for Chivas USA's Mario De Luna, Colorado Rapids forward Edson Buddle, Real Salt Lake defender Kwame Watson-Siriboe and a reduced suspension for San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Marvin Chavez, who saw his two game suspension reduced by a game.
