CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy announced on Friday that they had loaned four players to LA Galaxy II ahead of their match against Sacramento Republic FC on Sunday

Robbie Rogers, Kyle Venter, Chandler Hoffman and Brian Rowe will all be available for the Sacramento match. Rogers is the most interesting case as the former MLS All-Star has been steadily working his way from a preseason "stress reaction" injury. With the midfielder already in full training, one can expect that he'll see plenty of minutes against Sacramento Republic.

According to the release, the Galaxy first team now have 10 players at the USL PRO affiliate including the four loaned on Friday as well as Bradford Jaimeson IV, Raul Mendiola, Oscar Sorto, Raul Garcia, Jack McBean, and Charlie Rugg.

Add three more LA Galaxy first team players to the contigent at LA Galaxy II.

On Friday, the club announced that they had loaned forward Chandler Hoffman, center back Tommy Meyer and goalkeeper Brian Rowe to the USL Pro affiliate ahead of their match on Saturday against Sacramento Republic FC. Hoffman, Meyer and Rowe were each key components of the Galaxy's 2013 MLS Reserve League side that won the West Division which was coached by current Los Dos boss Curt Onalfo.

The three players join nine other first team players (Jack McBean, Raul Mendiola, Rafael Garcia, Charlie Rugg, Kofi Opare, Kyle Venter, Kenney Walker, Bradford Jamieson IV, and Oscar Sorto) currently with the team. Galaxy II is coming off a thrilling 3-1 victory over the Orange County Blues in their inaugural USL PRO match

Matt Reis is ready for the latest chapter in his life.

In my latest piece for LAGalaxy.com, I speak with new goalkeeper coach Matt Reis as discusses his reasons for retirement and join Bruce Arena's coaching staff

During my conversation with Reis, I asked about his opinion of LA's current goalkeeping situation and the 38-year-old provided a glowing recommendation of the team's goalkeeper corps.

"I’ve seen Jaime Penedo play and I’ve liked him for a long time. I remember watching him in the Gold Cup final when the U.S. played Panama. I think our styles are very similar," said Reis. "The other two goalkeepers Brian Perk and Brian Rowe are both from UCLA and are both going to be exceptional goalkeepers. Perk came from the same [youth] club that I grew up in and went through some minor setbacks last year while Rowe was able to help earn the team get some tough results over the course of the season … They are three guys who have shown that they can compete at this level so it’ll be exciting competition. "

It bares mentioning that Reis did not mention goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini who is expected to depart the club.
