CARSON, Calif. – There’s going to be no reserve teams this time around for the LA Galaxy’s seemingly annual U.S. Open Cup trip to North Carolina.

This time, they’ll be bringing the big guns.

Following the team’s first training session after their 2-1 victory over Arizona United SC, both Galaxy forwards Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan told reporters that they believe they’ll be available for selection in Tuesday’s match against the Carolina RailHawks in the fifth round of the U.S. Open Cup.

“We’re all expecting to play in this game. We’re sick of losing to Carolina and we’re sick of going out of the Open Cup early," said Donovan on Friday. "Also we don’t have any MLS games during this break so we need it for fitness. We’re excited for it and I’ve said to Bruce early on that I want to play as much as possible in this tournament; we’re hoping to get a result."

While Donovan hopes to be in the lineup from the outset, Keane may be utilized in a substitute’s role as the team’s Irish captain recently returned from Ireland where he served as the best man at a best friend’s wedding.

“I’ll have to speak to Bruce, but I imagine that we’ll take a full team. It’s a competition that we certainly need to win,” said Keane. “If I start though is another thing, it’s a question that I’ll have with Bruce.”

The LA Galaxy learned their fate in the 101st edition of the U.S. Open Cup as U.S. Soccer announced the dates and times for the upcoming fourth round of the tournament.

The Galaxy are already slated to play the winner of the matchup between Oklahoma City Energy FC and Arizona United, but LA learned that if OKC are victorious they will host their fourth round match on June 11 at 7:30 p.m. PT at StubHub Center. Should Arizona defeat the first year USL PRO side, the Galaxy will travel to Peoria Sports Complex on June 18 with the match taking place at 7:30 p.m. PT.

Meanwhile, LA Galaxy II also learned that if they can defeat USASA club PSA Elite then they will host Seattle Sounders FC on June 18 at the StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium.  Los Dos take on PSA Elite next Wednesday in Carson.

The winner of Wednesday night's U.S. Open Cup second round match between LA Galaxy II and Cal FC now know who they'll be facing U.S. Adult Soccer Association club PSA Elite in the third round of the tournament.

PSA Elite were scheduled to take on the San Diego Flash of the National Premier Soccer League, but on Wednesday morning, Flash CEO Clent Alexander released a statement stating that his team were forced to forefit after being unable to find a field to hold the match. San Diego had attempted to hold the match in various fields across Southern California but failed attempts led them to forefit the match.

If the Galaxy II win on Wednesday, they'lI will host their third round opponent on May 28 at StubHub Center's Track and Field Stadium at 7:30 PM PT.
