LAGalaxy.com has created a "By The Numbers" graphic ahead of the U.S. National Team's match against Mexico on Wednesday.
Myself and the rest of the LAGalaxy.com will be providing coverage throughout the match live from Arizona.
Check out the graphic below.
One of my favorite parts of the lead up of a World Cup is the gradual unveil of each nations kits and on Tuesday, the U.S. National Team unveiled their away uniform for the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The jersey features a blue, white and red pattern and will be used by both the U.S. Men's and Women's team. U.S. Soccer's announcement comes on heels of their reveal of the primary kit which is a white polo kit with understated blue stripes down the jersey.
Below is a photo produced by U.S. Soccer of Los Angeles-based musical act Haim in the kits.
Thoughts on the jersey? Will you be going through the Wire to make it your favorite "Forever?"
CARSON, Calif. – A.J. DeLaGarza is in a race to be fit for Sunday’s SuperClasico match between the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA as he looks to recover from a left ankle contusion suffered a week ago against Real Salt Lake.
While his teammates began preparations for Sunday’s SuperClasico, DeLaGarza was lightly jogging around the training ground, still feeling the aftereffects of a harsh tackle from RSL forward Alvaro Saborio more than a week earlier. Although LA head coach Bruce Arena stated that it was “too early” to declare his defender ready for Sunday, DeLaGarza is optimistic that he can be back to game fitness in time to contribute against the Rojblancos—but not at the expense of a potential win.
“I'm being optimistic. Hopefully, I can get out there and help the team. At the same time, I'm not going to put the team out there and not be able to perform 100 percent,” said DeLaGarza. “Someone else can go there and do the job, and be healthy, but my goal is to be on the field any way possible.”
Expect DeLaGarza to participate against Chivas?

LA Galaxy II defender Oscar Sorto has been named to the USL PRO’s Team of the Week after a 90 minute shift in LA’s 1-1 draw with Sacramento Republic FC last week.
In addition to Sorto, forward Chandler Hoffman and midfielder Raul Mendiola were named as honorable mentions. Mendiola provided the assist to Hoffman who scored the game-tying goal last week.
The LA Galaxy received a special honor on Monday as one of Mashable.com's 'Teams to watch for" in the build-up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
In addition to naming the Galaxy as a team to follow, they also signaled out Omar Gonzalez as a player to keep an eye on ahead of the festitives this summer in Brazil.
CARSON, Calif. -- Robbie Rogers crossed a major hurdle in his road to recovery on Monday afternoon.
Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena confirmed that Rogers returned to full training for the first time since the opening week of the preseason. Rogers has been hampered with a stress reaction in his left ankle since January that the 26-year-old says occured due to overuse ahead of preseason preparations.
"It was very good to have him back for the first time ," Arena told reporters on Monday.
In other injury news, Kofi Opare has also begun preparations after dealing with a right adductor injury that occured during preseason. Arena states that Opare began initial training a week ago, but is making strides to return. No time line or schedule has been set for when the defender -- who is currently still technically on loan to LA Galaxy II -- will be able to suit up for the first team.
CARSON, Calif. -- Nine years ago today, Landon Donovan joined the LA Galaxy and changed the MLS landscape forever.
To commemorate the ninth anniversary of the star attacker's signing with the Galaxy, I look back at my top five Donovan moments in an LA kit on LAGalaxy.com.
But what was it like for Donovan's teammates when he joined the Galaxy after a brief stint in Germany?
"It was a shock to a lot of people since he was with the Earthquakes for so long and they were our biggest rival," Defender Todd Dunivant told LA Galaxy Insider on Monday. "At the time, Carlos Ruiz was our biggest player, but when Landon came it was just awesome. He's a game changer and helped us win the cup that year."
As for Dunivant's favorite Donovan moment?
"In 2005, we were the four seed in the playoffs going up against San Jose and in the first leg at The Home Depot Center, he scored a huge goal for us," Dunivant told LAGalaxy.com. "He snuck in behind their defense and got around Pat Onstad that put us up by two goals and gave us the confidence going into the road match at Spartan Stadium which was a tough place to play. He really gave us that extra boost and while a lot of people won't think of that moment, it was first major moment for the club and it set us on the path to winning that MLS Cup."
Check out video of that moment below at the 2:05:56 mark.
