Q: How long does a game last?
A: Major League Soccer matches consist of two 45-minute halves, with a halftime break of about 15 minutes. Stoppage time may be added to the end of each half at the referee's discretion to compensate for delays during the game. In general, most games last about two hours.
Although regular season Major League Soccer matches may end in a tie, Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches cannot end in a tie. Therefore, if the score is tied at the end of those matches, two 15-minute overtime periods will be played. If the score is still tied at the end of those two 15-minute overtime periods, Open Cup matches will be decided by penalty kicks.
Friendlies and matches in other competitions may have different rules for deciding ties.
Q: How can I participate in the pre-game and halftime activities on the field (walking out with the players, playing at halftime, etc.)?
A: The Galaxy offers a number of different opportunities for fans, particularly youth fans, to be involved in special game day experiences. These opportunities include:
- Ball Kids - serve as official ball kids during the match
- Parade of Champions - participate in a pre-game parade across the field
- Dream Team - walk out of the tunnel and onto the field with the Galaxy and opposing MLS team's starting lineups
- High Five Line - high-five the starters for the Galaxy and their opponents as they walk out of the tunnel and onto the field
- Center Circle - present the Center Circle banner at midfield during pre-game ceremonies
These activities are ideal for soccer teams, classes, churches, and other organizations that come out as a group to the game, but they are also important parts of the game presentation. Participation in these activities must be arranged in advance, and not all activities are available at all games. For more details, visit the Youth Soccer Partnerships tab in the Tickets section on lagalaxy.com (or click here), contact a Galaxy representative at 1-877-3GALAXY (877-342-5299) or 310-630-2200. Please be aware that these activities sell out quickly.
Q: What is SoccerFest?
A: SoccerFest is an interactive area in which soccer fans young and old can participate in pre-game festivities. Located on the stadium's main (southwest) concourse, SoccerFest has games, food, music, booths and is a great way to be entertained before the start of the match. Visit lagalaxy.com/gameday before each home match for an updated list of activities.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: The game will go on as scheduled unless the MLS officials deem field conditions unsafe. Please note that StubHub Center’s venue policies prohibit umbrellas.
Q: Where is Lost and Found at the stadium?
A: If you are still at the game when you realize the item is missing, visit Guest Services, located under the American Express Stadium Club restaurant at the south end of the field, behind Section 101. If you have already left the game by the time you realize the item is missing, contact StubHub Center's Security Department 24 hours per day at 310-630-2044.
Q: Can I get autographs from players at the stadium?
A: During games, Galaxy and opposing players may choose to sign autographs for fans. Fans are asked to respect that the athletes are focused on the game and that any autographs are given at their discretion. We ask that you please be respectful of other guests and their seating location when attempting to get an autograph and/or picture.
Q: If I have a question while I'm at the stadium, who should I ask?
A: Visit Guest Services, located under the American Express Stadium Club restaurant at the south end of the field, behind Section 101. Before the game, at halftime, or after the game, you may also stop by the Galaxy tent located on the main concourse near the Southwest Entrance.
Q: Where should I go if I need medical assistance while I'm at the stadium?
A: Alert a Guest Services Representative or other staff member in an emergency. For minor medical assistance, you may visit the First Aid office located under the American Express Stadium Club restaurant at the south end of the field, behind Section 142.
