First Round: #19 - Tommy Meyer
Position: Midfielder

Meyer was All-Big Ten Conference First Team and second in the Big Ten with 7 assists in 2011. He also played on the U.S. team in the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in South Korea in 2007. Said Bruce Arena, "He's a player that has a good profile to be a center back in this league. He has physical size. He's a good header of the ball. A good defender and a decent passer out of the back. Once we get him into our setting we can learn a little bit more and work with him and try to make him better. I met with him and he’s a kid that can be a good player. He goes to a good school and generally the players are brought along pretty well there so we’re hopeful that he has the right pedigree to be a good player."
Second Round: #38 - Kenney Walker
Position: Midfielder
Date of Birth: December 23, 1988
Hometown: Wickliffe, Ohio
Club/College: University of Louisville
WATCH: Walker in action
Walker was All-Big East Conference Second Team in 2009. Said Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena, “I thought that he had a very good Combine. He is a defensive midfielder, a holding midfielder, an aggressive type of player and a good passer of the ball. I felt over the three days of the Combine he may have been a first round pick so when he was available in the second round we jumped on it and we’re hopeful that he will turn into a good player. He’s a fit athlete and I think that he understands his role in the midfield, which is important. You don’t find too many players that understand how to play that position. He comes from a very good program, so I think that we got two players that come from very established collegiate programs with good coaching and good discipline and that always positions them to be able to transition into professional soccer.”
