2009 Season Ticket Holders of the Game

October 24 vs. San Jose Earthquakes

Ron, accompanied by his wife, Michele, experienced a great 2-0 victory over West Coast rivals, San Jose Earthquakes. Also at the game were Ron's son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. When he is not at Galaxy games or cheering on the team during road games, Ron finds time to referee AYSO games as well as games in adult leagues. Not only did Ron and Michele watch our final regular game of the season from Field Side seats, but they were given the honor of presenting Captain Landon Donovan with the Galaxy's MVP Award for the 2009 season.

October 2 vs. Chicago Fire

Walter and his son Kristian were honored as Season Ticket Holders of the game for our win against the Chicago Fire. As a long-time soccer fan, Walter is passionate about sharing his love for the Galaxy with his three children. Walter has been a fan of the Galaxy since the start of the league in 1996 and has enjoyed cheering on the team and seeing the changes in MLS and in the Galaxy. Walter and Kristian had a great time watching the Galaxy players warm up by the sidelines and he was able to pick up a few drills to use for his children's soccer teams. Walter and Kristian were happy to be the Season Ticket Holders of the Game as we clinched a spot in the 2009 MLS Playoffs with the 1-0 victory over the Chicago Fire.

September 19 vs. Toronto FC

Dan, accompanied by his wife, Abby, enjoyed the Galaxy's 2-0 victory over Toronto FC. Since attending his first Galaxy game at the Rose Bowl in 1996 with his father, Dan knew that as soon as he was old enough to purchase his own season tickets he would do so. Dan fulfilled his commitment and has been a Season Ticket Holder for several years. He has also traveled to watch the Galaxy play in Washington DC, Chicago, San Jose, and even attended the Galaxy's first championship in 2002 at New England. He also plans on going to Seattle when we make the MLS Cup!

September 12 vs. FC Dallas

Jessica and her mother, Janet, sat Fieldside cheering on the Galaxy against FC Dallas. At the age 12, Jessica has already become a die hard fan because of her passion for the LA Galaxy and the sport of soccer. Part of Jessica's daily routine is to check the Galaxy blog and the Galaxy website for updates on players, injuries and acquisitions. She enjoys attending Season Ticket Holder events, Bonus Games, and watching our players when they are away on National team duty. Jessica plans on being a lifelong Galaxy fan and Season Ticket Holder.

August 29 vs. Chivas USA

Natasha was accompanied by her twin sister, Milena, as the Season Ticket Holder of the Game for the 1-0 victory over Chivas USA. Natasha, along with her sister and mother, Ramona, are avid Galaxy soccer fans, yet Natasha is the ultimate fan of the family. She never misses a game and records both the home and away games on television, so after she returns from home from the Home Depot Center she watches the game all over again. She has used the Galaxy as the subject for many of her research papers in her undergraduate studies and she designs her own Galaxy jewelry that features hand drawn portraits of the players. Natasha also insists on naming her first child Cobi.

August 15 vs. Seattle Sounders

Karen was named the Season Ticket Holder of the Game for our Seattle Sounders match. She was accompanied by her husband and Galaxy fanatic Steve. This season, Karen and Steve have traveled to both San Jose road games, as well as the Seattle road game. Since they've become Season Ticket Holders, they have yet to miss a game and Steve proudly bears a Galaxy tattoo. Karen and Steve had a great time watching pre-game warm ups from the field and posing for pictures with Karen's Hello Kitty stuffed animal, which wears a homemade Galaxy uniform.

July 4 vs. New England Revolution

Cesar was honored as the Season Ticket Holder of the Game for the Fourth of July match against New England Revolution. Cesar along with his brother, Leonel, were happy to celebrate the victory against the Revs. Cesar was nominated because of his passion and knowledge of the team and players. He has inspired many to become Season Ticket Holders, as well as ignited a passion of soccer within them. Cesar is at every game, cheering and supporting his LA Galaxy and is sure to watch every Galaxy game on television when the team is on the road.

June 28 vs. Houston Dynamo

Scott was our Season Ticket Holder of the Game for Sunday's 1-0 win over Houston Dynamo. Scott was nominated by his wife Alison, who is also a big Galaxy fan and attends all games. Scott is enthusiastic about his love of the team and always enjoys coming to the Home Depot Center. Scott and Alison had a great time watching the game from their Field Side seats and are proud to be lifelong Galaxy fans.

June 13 vs. Real Salt Lake

Selvin, and his eleven year old son, Danny, were chosen as Season Ticket Holders of the Game for our June 13th match because of their dedication for the team and sport, even when dealing with a family tragedy. Recently, Selvin and Danny experienced a tragic loss within their family. Despite that hard loss, both remain dedicated to the team and have yet to miss a game. Selvin and Danny had a great time watching pre-game warm ups and Danny especially enjoyed being up close to see one of his favorite players, Donovan Ricketts.

May 30 vs. Kansas City Wizards

Gary was honored as Season Ticket Holder of the Game for the LA Sol and Galaxy doubleheader on May 30th. He was nominated for his enthusiastic and unyielding support of the team. He has been a loyal fan throughout the years, attending games at the Rose Bowl, Cal State Fullerton, and now at The Home Depot Center. Accompanied by his wife, Trisha, Gary enjoyed watching the team warm-up and seeing the game from their Field Side seats.

May 17 vs. Columbus Crew

Mike was accompanied by his family, as he enjoyed the honor of being Season Ticket Holder of the Game for our match versus Columbus Crew. Michael was nominated by his friend Joni, for his passion, knowledge, and dedication to the LA Galaxy, both as a fan, and a soccer player. Michael has attended the last four Adult Soccer Fantasy camps is always happy to share his knowledge of soccer with fellow fans and friends.

May 2 vs. NY Red Bulls

On May 2nd, Maha got the surprise news from her husband, Ron, and their 18 month son, Tristan, that she had been named Season Ticket Holder of the Game. Ron nominated her for her steadfast dedication to the team and to the sport of soccer. Even throughout her pregnancy, she was able to attend every Galaxy game in the 2008 season. Maha has also been an active member of the soccer community, playing at the AYSO, club and college levels. Maha enjoyed the victory over the Red Bulls, as well as watching her favorite player, Chris Klein, earn his 300th MLS appearance.

April 11 vs. Chivas USA

Hiroko, who was nominated by her friend Dagoberto, was named the Season Ticket Holder of the Game for the first 2009 Honda SuperClasico match. She is a committed Galaxy fan and enjoys introducing others to the Galaxy by bringing them out to games. In the past, she has arranged Galaxy away trips for fellow Galaxy fans to San Jose and Chicago and set up a private tour of BMO Field in Toronto for Galaxy fans who traveled to the away game in May 2008. Hiroko and Dagoberto enjoyed the exciting game against CD Chivas USA and kept their LA Riot Squad spirit while sitting Field Side.

April 4 vs. Colorado Rapids

Amy-Beth was nominated by her fiancé, Joe, and honored on the April 4th game against the Colorado Rapids. Amy-Beth was nominated for the enthusiasm she expresses in educating those around her with the rules of the game. She can also be found encouraging those she meets to attend Galaxy games on a regular basis. As the Season Ticket Holder of the Game, Amy-Beth had a great time watching her favorite player, Landon Donovan, and the rest of the Galaxy players up close in her Field Side seats.

March 22 vs. D.C. United

Tee and her son, Brennan, were honored as Season Ticket Holders of the Game to kick off the 2009 season. Tee was nominated because she is a longtime Galaxy fan, plans her schedule (even family events) around Galaxy games, and bleeds Galaxy colors. Tee reports that she and Brennan "had such an incredible time...it was thrilling to be on the field watching the pre-game training, standing and chatting with Mauricio Cienfuegos on the field, not to mention have a photo taken with him, and then to actually be in the team photo and stand next to Chris Klein and Landon Donovan... we will forever remember this day!"
