Star Student Program

Do you know a Star Student? The LA Galaxy’s Star Student Program is designed to reward middle school students for their hard work, improved academic efforts, and school attendance. Nominations may be made by principals, teachers and school counselors.
The LA Galaxy will recognize two middle school students at each 2011 home game. Every nominated student will be entered into a random drawing for the opportunity to be one of two selected students to serve as a LA Galaxy Star Student.
The Star Students will be recognized pre-game on The Home Depot Center’s main soccer field and Diamond Vision and presented a Star Student gift package. Each Star Student will receive two (2) tickets to the selected game and have the opportunity to serve as a Ball Kid.
Additionally, each nominating school administrator of the Star Students will receive two (2) tickets to the selected LA Galaxy game.
Nominations: To nominate a student, please complete the Star Student Nomination form and provide a narrative about why this student is being nominated. Please share details that give a good sense of who the student is and why they are deserving of this recognition.
Please consider the following when making your nomination:
- Has the student excelled or improved academically from one grade period to the next
- Has the student improved or had perfect attendance from one grade period to the next
- What has the student done to deserve recognition for their hard work or efforts
