CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy host the Houston Dynamo this Saturday in their third match of the 2015 MLS regular season.
In the latest edition of LAGalaxy.com's By the Numbers, we take a look at the club's recent struggles against the Dynamo.
Check it out below.
The LA Galaxy passed up the chance to select any players in stage two of the MLS Re-Entry Draft, but the club did lose some of their talent as forward Chandler Hoffman was selected by the Houston Dynamo.
Hoffman, 24, made eight appearances for the Galaxy first team in 2014, but was unable to tally his first MLS goal. Where the forward found the most success was with USL PRO affiliate LA Galaxy II as he scored 13 goals in 17 games played for Los Dos, which was the third highest tally in the U.S. third division in 2014.
In addition to Hoffman, former Galaxy players Tristan Bowen (New England Revolution) and Nathan Sturgis (Houston Dynamo).
CARSON, Calif. -- LA Galaxy II will play their first-ever playoff game on Saturday when they face the Rochester Rhinos at 7:30 p.m. PT at StubHub Center.
In the latest edition of LAGalaxy.com's By the Numbers, we look at the success that Chandler Hoffman has had in USL PRO this season.
Remember that attendance and parking are free for the match.
USL PRO announced on Tuesday that LA Galaxy II forward Chandler Hoffman and midfielder Bradford Jamieson IV had been named to USL PRO's Team of the Week for week 10.
Both Hoffman and Jamieson tallied a brace in Los Dos' impressive 5-0 victory over Oklahoma City Energy FC on Sunday. The goals give Hoffman seven on the season, which places him in second place on the USL PRO scoring charts. Meanwhile, Jamieson's tallies were his first of his professional career.
In my latest story for LAGalaxy.com, I speak to Jamieson and Los Dos head coach Curt Onalfo about the player's stellar development as of late.

LA Galaxy loan Robbie Rogers, Kyle Venter, Chandler Hoffman and Brian Rowe to LA Galaxy II for Sacramento Republic match
CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy announced on Friday that they had loaned four players to LA Galaxy II ahead of their match against Sacramento Republic FC on Sunday.
Robbie Rogers, Kyle Venter, Chandler Hoffman and Brian Rowe will all be available for the Sacramento match. Rogers is the most interesting case as the former MLS All-Star has been steadily working his way from a preseason "stress reaction" injury. With the midfielder already in full training, one can expect that he'll see plenty of minutes against Sacramento Republic.
According to the release, the Galaxy first team now have 10 players at the USL PRO affiliate including the four loaned on Friday as well as Bradford Jaimeson IV, Raul Mendiola, Oscar Sorto, Raul Garcia, Jack McBean, and Charlie Rugg.
LA Galaxy II defender Oscar Sorto has been named to the USL PRO’s Team of the Week after a 90 minute shift in LA’s 1-1 draw with Sacramento Republic FC last week.
In addition to Sorto, forward Chandler Hoffman and midfielder Raul Mendiola were named as honorable mentions. Mendiola provided the assist to Hoffman who scored the game-tying goal last week.
Add three more LA Galaxy first team players to the contigent at LA Galaxy II.
On Friday, the club announced that they had loaned forward Chandler Hoffman, center back Tommy Meyer and goalkeeper Brian Rowe to the USL Pro affiliate ahead of their match on Saturday against Sacramento Republic FC. Hoffman, Meyer and Rowe were each key components of the Galaxy's 2013 MLS Reserve League side that won the West Division which was coached by current Los Dos boss Curt Onalfo.
The three players join nine other first team players (Jack McBean, Raul Mendiola, Rafael Garcia, Charlie Rugg, Kofi Opare, Kyle Venter, Kenney Walker, Bradford Jamieson IV, and Oscar Sorto) currently with the team. Galaxy II is coming off a thrilling 3-1 victory over the Orange County Blues in their inaugural USL PRO match.
