CARSON, Calif. -- LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena addressed reporters after his team's 5-0 win over the Portland Timbers.
(On tonights game...)
ARENA: "I don't think this was really a five to zero game, but we played really well at times. Portland to start the game was really all over us, and after about ten to twelve minutes we got settled in a little bit and started to play better."
(On the play of Sebastian Lletget...)
ARENA: "Very good performance, in the early minutes of the game he was our best player. He made a bunch of good plays and then ultimately got the first goal."
(On the play of Robbie Rogers...)
ARENA: "He makes a big difference for us, we have missed some important players in the first three or four months of the season so to get him back is really helpful."
(On scoring ten goals in two games...)
ARENA: "There are going to be really good games and some that aren't, that is all part of it."
(On five different players scoring a goal...)
ARENA: "It's all by design, the way we draw it up. No, I wouldn't mind if one player had five goals, it is good to see that everyone is involved in the attack, the ball is moving better."

Remember where you were five years ago today, we witnessed what is arguably American soccer's most iconic moment?
On June 23, 2010, Landon Donovan scored a stoppage time winner against Algeria to send the United States through to the Round of 16 at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in utterly dramatic fashion. The goal and the fan fan that it sparked were played around the clock as it catapulted the LA Galaxy forward to celebrity status once he returned from South Africa.
Perhaps only one moment in U.S. Soccer history could surpass the greatness of Donovan's finish, and that is Brandi Chastain's legendary penalty kick finish that helped the USWNT defeat China in the 1999 Women's World Cup final sixteen years ago. Chastain's joy -- and celebration -- after helping the USWNT win their second Women's World Cup became part of popular culture in a manner in which few soccer events had before.
With the U.S. Women's National Team poised for a rematch against China on Friday in the quarterfinals of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup might we see another iconic moment as the Americans try for their third World Cup title?
