The LA Galaxy have spent the summer locking down key pieces on the field and according to a report in Sports Illustrated, they have re-signed one of their key members of the front office.
According to a report from Sports Illustrated's Brian Straus, the LA Galaxy have re-signed club president Chris Klein to a multi-year contract extension that will be worth as much as $500,000 per season. In an interview with SI, AEG President and CEO Dan Beckerman states that he's pleased that the Galaxy will retain the former LA midfielder turned executive.
“We are pleased to have a long-term agreement in place with Chris, who in a short period of time he has developed into one of the most respected executives in Major League Soccer,” Beckerman said to SI. “In addition to his tremendous soccer acumen and knowledge of the game, Chris has quickly acquired an extensive knowledge of our business, and is fast becoming one of the more well-rounded leaders in our sport.”
