  • With the draw, the Galaxy are now 13-10-6 on the season, leaving them with 45 points. They are now tied with Colorado for fourth place in the Western Conference, five points behind first place Seattle and three points behind second place Real Salt Lake. Portland are alone in third place, one point ahead of the Galaxy.
  • After going undefeated in August with a 3-0-1 record, the Galaxy are currently winless in September, going 0-1-2 in the first three games of this month.
  • LA are now unbeaten in their last seven home games against the Sounders, going 5-0-2 in those matches.
  • This was LA’s first home draw since a 0-0 tie with Portland on June 19.
  • The Galaxy have drawn consecutive games for the first time this season.
  • Bruce Arena made two changes to the team that drew 2-2 with D.C. United away from home last weekend, with A.J. DeLaGarza and Landon Donovan each missing out because of injury. They were replaced by Sean Franklin and Jose Villarreal.
  • Villarreal was the only player to start both Wednesday’s Champions League win over Metapan and the draw with Seattle.
  • In addition to DeLaGarza and Donovan, the Galaxy were also without Robbie Rogers, who once again missed out with a hamstring injury.
  • Seattle took the lead in the 25th minute when Eddie Johnson headed home a Mauro Rosales corner kick.
  • That goal was the first allowed at home by LA against Seattle since the Second leg of the 2010 Western Conference Semifinal Series.
  • The Galaxy equalized in first half stoppage time when Juninho scored directly from a freekick.
  • That was Juninho’s first goal of the season and his first goal in the league in 364 days. He had last scored on September 22, 2012 when he tallied twice in a 4-2 win over Toronto FC.
  • Juninho’s goal was LA’s first directly from a freekick this season. In 2012, the Galaxy scored five times direct from freekicks.
  • The Galaxy appeared to have taken the lead in the 60th minute when Gyasi Zardes poke the ball over the line from close range off an Omar Gonzalez header, only for referee Silviu Petrescu to whistle for a foul.
  • The Sounders had defender Zach Scott sent off in the 90th minute after he was shown his second yellow card.
  • He is the fifth player to be sent off against the Galaxy this season and the first since June 29.
  • Robbie Keane made the 50th appearance of his Galaxy career in the game while Marcelo Sarvas made his 50th regular season start for the club.
  • With A.J. DeLaGarza missing the game because of injury, Juninho is now the only player to start all 29 regular season games that LA have played this year.
  • Laurent Courtois came on in the second half, making his first league appearance for the club since July 27.
  • LA outshot Seattle 11-7 on the night. The Galaxy have outshot their opponents in all 14 of their home games this season.
  • The Galaxy are now 9-2-3 at home in league play this season and 12-3-3 at home in all competitions.
  • The Galaxy will be back in the CONCACAF Champions League on Wednesday, September 25 when they travel to Costa Rica where they will face Cartagines. That game will kick off at 7 p.m. (PT) and will be shown live on FOX Sports 2.
  • They return to MLS action on Sunday, September 29 when they travel north to take on the Portland Timbers at JELD-WEN Field. That game will kick off at 12:30 p.m. (PT) and can be seen live nationally on NBC.
