The resurgence of the conference champions LA Galaxy saw the Western Conference re-assert itself in 2009. Five teams reached the playoffs, and MLS Cup winners Real Salt Lake made it four out of five for the West.
The off-season saw several major changes, including a new coach at Chivas USA, a contingent of exciting new talent, and even more season tickets in Seattle.
But the championship is still up for grabs. Who will take it?
