LA Galaxy to hold open call interviews for Miss LA Galaxy 2011 on Saturday at The Home Depot Center

The LA Galaxy are looking for Miss LA Galaxy 2011 and her
court, presented by COVERGIRL®. The Galaxy will be holding Open Call Interviews
on Saturday, July 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
The interviews are open to all applicants who live in Los Angeles or the surrounding areas and are
between the ages of 18 and 27. 

The Miss LA Galaxy 2011 winner will receive a one year
promotional contract with the LA Galaxy, a $1,000 cash prize courtesy of
COVERGIRL®, a year’s worth of makeup courtesy of COVERGIRL® and much more.
Additional prizes will also be awarded for second through fourth place winners.

Applicants will be required to present a valid photo ID,
fill out an application form, answer a few questions and have photos taken.
Applicants should be prepared to stay up to two hours with call backs to take
place later in the day.

About Miss LA Galaxy:

The Miss LA Galaxy contest was introduced in 2002. It was
designed to not only add a female presence to a men’s professional soccer team
but also to recognize the successful and proven role models of Los Angeles who
take pride in their community, who have achieved great personal success,
whether in academics or contributions to their community, and of course,
support the LA Galaxy. Past finalists and winners have all had either extensive
volunteerism, service to their community or extraordinary academic achievement.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote
    the LA Galaxy by representing the team through speaking engagements and
    public appearances.
  • Act
    as a role model to young Galaxy fans and the youth of the Los Angeles community
    by taking part in various local volunteer opportunities.
  • Support
    the team by attending all Galaxy home games and participating in various
    pre-game festivities.
