Arena guided the Galaxy to the best
regular-season record in Major League Soccer (18-7-5) in 2010 as the team
advanced to the Western Conference Final. He is the former head coach of the
U.S. men's national team, leading the squad to the FIFA World Cup twice. He also
was coach of the U.S. Olympic team in 1996. Arena coached two MLS championship
teams, too.

The awards show will be televised on FOX Sports West (initial
airing will be on March 4) and will include special appearances by many of the
athletes and coaches whose achievements helped make 2010 such a memorable year
in sports.

In addition to the Coach of the Year award, the ceremony also will feature
a countdown of the Top 10 moments for 2010 as selected by a blue-ribbon media
panel, along with the naming of the Sportsman, Sportswoman, and Sports Executive
of the Year.
