CARSON, Calif.
– The
LA Galaxy and FOX Sports West announced today the local broadcast schedule for
the 2011 Galaxy season, meaning soccer fans in Southern California will be able
to enjoy Galaxy games on FS West and sister network PRIME TICKET
throughout the upcoming season.

In 2011, FS West
and sister network PRIME TICKET will broadcast 20 of the Galaxy’s 34 MLS
regular season games, all in high definition. The network is also bringing back
the popular “Galaxy
Live” program, a 30-minute pregame or postgame show that offers viewers an
inside look at all of the latest and most up-to-date
news surrounding the Galaxy.

The two sides also announced that the broadcasting duo of
Jim Watson and Mark Rogondino will return for their fifth consecutive season.
Watson will once again handle the play-by-play duties while Rogondino will
serve as the broadcasts’ color analyst. Also returning is Jackie Pickering, who
will be providing sideline reporting for all home games from The Home Depot
Center for a fourth consecutive season in addition to hosting a number of
segments in all episodes of “Galaxy Live”.

The network will
begin their 13th season as the local destination of the LA Galaxy with the
club’s home opener on Sunday, March 20 against the New England Revolution,
presented by Pechanga Resort & Casino. The match, which will kickoff at 5
p.m., will be broadcast on delay at 8 p.m., including a 30-minute postgame edition
of “Galaxy Live.”

TICKETS STARTING AT $25

In addition to the
Galaxy’s home opener, FS West and PRIME TICKET’s local broadcast
schedule is highlighted by both games against 2009 MLS Cup rival Real Salt Lake
(away on March 26 and at home on Oct. 1), the club’s first-ever trip to
Portland on Aug. 3, a rematch of the 2010 Western Conference Championship
against FC Dallas on Aug. 6 and the season finale at Houston on Oct. 23.
