Tickets still available for Sunday friendly between LA, Man. City

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, July 22, 2011) – The FA Cup, one of the most famous and iconic trophies in world soccer, will be on display at The Home Depot Center on Sunday when the LA Galaxy host reigning tournament champion Manchester City as part of the Herbalife World Football Challenge. City won the FA Cup, which was first held in 1871-72, for the first time in more than 40 years last season, defeating Stoke City 1-0 in front of a capacity crowd at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Fans at Sunday’s game will be able to have their photo taken with the actual FA Cup that Manchester City won last year, as well as the Supporters’ Shield which the Galaxy won in 2010 for having the best regular season record in MLS. Additionally, fans will have the chance to enter to win an authentic Galaxy or Manchester City jersey from Sunday’s game, simply by having their photo taken with either of the trophies inside the Southwest entrance of the stadium.
