CARSON, Calif. (Friday, October 21, 2011) – Individual tickets are on sale now, starting at $30, for the home leg of the LA Galaxy’s Western Conference Semifinal Series, which is scheduled to be played on Thursday, November 3 at 8 p.m. PT at The Home Depot Center. The opponent and final date of that game will not be settled until the completion of next week’s Wild Card Matches.

MORE ON PLAYOFF FORMAT

Capacity at The Home Depot Center will be limited to 15,000 for the Galaxy’s first home playoff game because of a long standing, mutual agreement with The Home Depot Center and California State University, Dominguez Hills regarding reduced stadium capacity for midweek games during the school year. If the Galaxy are to advance to the Western Conference Championship, which would be held at The Home Depot Center on Sunday, November 6, the stadium capacity would return to the full 27,000. To purchase tickets for either of these games, please visit www.lagalaxy.com/playoffs or call 1-877-3GALAXY (342-5299).

The entire 10-team playoff field is set following the New York Red Bulls 1-0 win over the Philadelphia Union on Thursday, October 20, which guaranteed them one of them of the four wild card berths. The Galaxy will face the lowest seed to advance from the Wild Card Matches in the Western Conference Semifinals, with the other Wild Card facing the top seed in the Eastern Conference. The single elimination Wild Card Matches will be played on October 26 and October 27, with the Galaxy playing the first leg of their Western Conference Semifinal Series on the road on Sunday, October 30. The return leg of that aggregate goal series will be played at The Home Depot Center on Thursday, November 3.

While it is still unknown who the Galaxy will play, it is confirmed that it will be one of three teams: Colorado Rapids, Columbus Crew or New York Red Bulls.
