Galaxy midfielder receives over 73% of the votes to take title

There was no doubt about it.

After collecting nearly 3 million views on YouTube, David Beckham's wonder strike against the Portland Timbers received a similar landslide of votes to claim MLS Goal of the Week for Week 6.

The Englishman found the top right corner with a curling, long-distance drive to round out a 3-1 victory for the defending MLS Cup champions at The Home Depot Center. The play made highlight reels around the globe.

By virtue of the 73.83 percent of voters who backed Beckham, no other goal received double-digit votes. The ballot breakdown follows below.

3. Dax McCarty (NY) 6.98%

4. Brek Shea (DAL) 5.96%
