CARSON, Calif. – David Beckham is dealing with an injury that has placed his status in question for Friday’s match against the Colorado Rapids.

On the league’s injury report, which was released on Tuesday afternoon, Beckham was listed as questionable with a left ankle sprain. The 37-year-old midfielder picked up the injury during the Galaxy’s 2-0 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps on September 1st. Following training on Tuesday, head coach Bruce Arena said that the club had “no thoughts” as to Beckham’s injury and added he “might be” available for selection in Friday’s match.

Beckham’s inclusion to the report wasn’t the only bit of news as forward Edson Buddle was removed from the Galaxy’s report. Buddle is still on the mend since undergoing knee surgery in June to repair a tear in his right meniscus.

The 31-year-old forward has made two consecutive solid appearances in the Reserve League, going 45 minutes during LA’s 2-0 defeat to the San Jose Earthquakes reserves on September 4th and 57 minutes in the Galaxy’s 4-0 victory over the Portland Timbers reserves on Monday.

WILHELMSSON MISSES PRACTICE TO GET HIS P-1 VISA

Christian Wilhelmsson wasn’t present at LA Galaxy training on Tuesday, but the Swedish International is one step closer to making his first team debut for the club.

The 32-year-old winger traveled to Tijuana, Mexico on Tuesday to receive his P-1 Visa. If the Swede has his P-1 Visa as well as his International Transfer Certificate in time, he would be available to make his MLS debut in Friday’s game against the Colorado Rapids.

KEANE RETURNS TO TRAINING FROM INTERNATIONAL DUTY

Robbie Keane has returned from international duty with Ireland and was back at training with the Galaxy for their session on Tuesday morning.

Keane makes a triumphant return to the Galaxy training ground after scoring a goal during Ireland’s dramatic come from behind World Cup qualifying win over Kazakhstan on September 7th.  Arena told reporters that Keane should be available against the Rapids.
