In the match, Emmanuel Appiah opened the scoring early when his header found the back of the net in the 3rd minute. The goal was the result of a nicely taken corner kick by Julian Büscher.
Fresno FC are 2-6-5 on the road this season, and failed to find a result in their most recent away game against Sacramento Republic FC.
