Career Summary
<p><strong>2009:</strong> Started in all 20 games that he played in during his final season at UCLA, earning All Pac-10 Honorable Mention honors. He scored his first goal of the season and the first goal of his college career against Maryland on 9/4, a goal that was assisted by current Galaxy teammate Michael Stephens. He added his second and final goal of the season against rival Stanford in a 2-0 win in Palo Alto on 10/18. Alvarado assisted on UCLA&rsquo;s game tying goal against San Diego State on 10/11.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>2008:</strong> After returning from injury, he saw his first action in a year and a half on 10/19 when he played against Oregon State. He started for the first time since 2006 against Stanford on 11/2, playing a season-high 66 minutes. He also appeared in the regular season finale at San Diego State and played 25 minutes against Cal Poly in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. He was the recipient of the team&#39;s Coaches Award after recovering from knee surgery.</p>
<p><strong>2007:</strong> Missed the entire season while recovering from knee surgery.</p>
<p><strong>2006:</strong> Played in 18 games and made nine starts at center back as a sophomore at UCLA, helping the Bruins reach the College Cup Final. He played in three of UCLA&rsquo;s five games at the NCAA Tournament, including in the College Cup Final, where the team fell to UCSB in a 2-1 loss. He finished the season with six shots and the Bruins were 6-2-1 in the nine games that he started.</p>
<p><strong>2005:</strong> Played in one game during his freshman season, making his collegiate debut in the 3-0 win over UNLV on 9/25.</p>
