MLS Cup Arrival at Santa Monica Pier

The Philip F. Anschutz championship trophy, awarded to the winner of MLS Cup, arrived by motorcade at the Santa Monica Pier, escorted by Galaxy legends Alexi Lalas and Mauricio Cienfuegos. Fans in attendance had a unique opportunity to take a photograph with the trophy as well.

MLS Cup Trophy Tour

The Galaxy's 2002 and 2005 MLS Cup trophies, plus the 2011 Philip F. Anschutz trophy, awarded to the winner of MLS Cup 2011, will be touring the LA area ahead of MLS Cup! Fans will have the opportunity to take photographs with all three trophies, as well as meet MLS players* & members of the 2011 and 2012 Miss LA Galaxy courts. Plus, learn tricks with the Futboleros and enter for a chance to win a VIP MLS Cup experience and EA Sports FIFA ‘12 games.

MLS W.O.R.K.S. Starlight Hospital Visit

MLS W.O.R.K.S. teamed up with Starlight Children’s Foundation for a visit and the placement of a Starlight Fun Center&™ mobile entertainment unit at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Former Galaxy stars and MLS Cup winners Cobi Jones and Chris Klein were joined by LA Galaxy mascot Cozmo to play games and participate in activities with the kids prior to the dedication ceremony. Patients also had a special opportunity to get autographs and take pictures with the Philip F. Anschutz championship trophy. A select number of tickets to Sunday’s match were also provided for Starlight families.

MLS W.O.R.K.S./The Home Depot Park Renovation

MLS W.O.R.K.S. and MLS players (Earthquakes' Chris Wondolowski, New England's Zak Boggs, Sporting Kansas City's C.J. Sapong, Seattle's Mauro Rosales, and Chivas USA's Michael Lahoud and Andy Boyens joined forces with The Home Depot and local associates to refurbish Veteran's Park in Carson, CA. The staff, players and associates planted new trees, flowers and shrubs in the park and repainted a multi-purpose room in the Veteran's Park Sports complex. Local elementary and middle school students also participated in a soccer clinic at Veteran's Park conducted by LA Galaxy Camps coaches.

MLS W.O.R.K.S., league stars join forces for American Education Week

Seven MLS players and Commissioner Don Garber joined a team of volunteers to help transform the school library at Catskills Avenue Elementary School. They donated manpower and books, took time to read to the kids, signed autographs and made a bunch of new fans.

Supporters Summit

Supporters from around the League gathered at numerous events throughout MLS Cup weekend, including a supporters night out and Q&A session with MLS Commissioner Don Garber.
