GORDON AND FRANKLIN TO APPEAR ON FOX 11’S “WEDNESDAY’S CHILD” SEGMENT ON WED.: LA Galaxy forward Alan Gordon and defender Sean Franklin will be featured in FOX 11’s "Wednesday’s Child" segment with Christine Devine on Wednesday, April 14. Rebecca and Amy are this week’s Wednesday’s Child team of two sisters. Rebecca was born in 1997 and her sister Amy was born in 2001 and they both like outdoor activities. Both girls love soccer and having played on a soccer team, so we decided to get to know the girls while giving them the opportunity to practice with the LA Galaxy.
In Los Angeles, the show will air at 10 p.m. on FOX 11; but the segment will also be replayed on Sunday, April 18 at the same time as well. Wednesday's Child, which is sponsored by the Freddie Mac Foundation, is a weekly adoption feature aimed at finding LA-area foster children a permanent and loving home. 1GOAL EDUCATION FOR ALL: The LA Galaxy and the National Education Association are supporting the 1Goal Project - a global campaign for education that strives to make education a reality for the millions of boys and girls who remain out of school all over the world. The Galaxy and the NEA will be conducting a launch event at Leapwood Avenue Elementary School in Carson, CA on April 21 in support of Global Action Week.
