The Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation, the charitable arm of the LA Galaxy, is competing with charities nationwide for donations ranging from $20,000 to $250,000 through the Chase Community Giving program. Fans have 21 days remaining to help ensure the Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation’s success by simply voting through the Chase Community Giving program running on Facebook.
Through the utilization of the social media networks, the Chase Community Giving program has already directed more than $5 million dollars toward charities nationwide, putting the power to bring positive change across the nation into the hands of those who need it most. Due to enthusiasm, the program is being continued into this summer - giving 200 additional charities, including the Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation, the opportunity to win grants to further their mission.
“The Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation is dedicated to supporting the community in which we live and work, and receiving a grant through the Chase Community Giving program would allow us to continue to strengthen our charitable initiatives,” said Gloria King, Director of the Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation.
The current round of the Chase Community Giving program is designed to benefit smaller and local charities. The eligible charity with the most votes receives $250,000; the top 4 runners-up receive $100,000 each; and the remaining charities in the Top 200 will each receive $20,000. With the support of the Galaxy fans, the Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation has the opportunity to receive much needed resources.
Fans can vote for the Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation and give them the chance to win the grand prize of $250,000 by visiting the Chase Community Giving program at: http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving/charities/954770699-los-angeles-galaxy-foundation and clicking the green “Get Started to Vote” button. One vote can be cast for each charity in the competition until 8:59 p.m. (PT) on Monday, July 12.
