LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan will make five national television appearances in New York on Tuesday and Wednesday before returning to Los Angeles ahead of the Galaxy’s game against Seattle Sounders FC at The Home Depot Center on Sunday, July 4.
Donovan’s media tour will begin on Tuesday night when he is a guest on the “Late Show with David Letterman”, which airs locally on CBS 2 at 11:35 p.m. (PT).
Then, on Wednesday morning, Donovan will make an appearance on three morning shows, appearing as a guest on “Good Morning America” on ABC, “The Early Show” on CBS and “Live with Regis and Kelly”, which also airs on ABC. Donovan’s segment on “GMA” will air at approximately 7:30 a.m. (PT) while his appearance on “The Early Show” will come during the show’s 8 a.m. hour. He will complete his morning of interviews as a guest of “Live with Regis and Kelly”, which begins at 9 a.m. on ABC 7 in the Los Angeles area.
The media tour will end on Wednesday night when Donovan is a guest on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”, which will air at 11 p.m. (PT).
In addition to these national television appearances, Donovan will also conduct a series of other interviews and appearances, including a video interview with lagalaxy.com and mlssoccer.com, which will debut on the site later in the week.
Following the tour, Donovan will return to Los Angeles and to training with the Galaxy ahead of the club’s Fourth of July game, which is presented by Chelada by Budweiser, against Seattle Sounders FC. Donovan will speak to local media after the Galaxy’s training session at The Home Depot Center on Friday.
