CARSON, Calif. – LA Galaxy forward Landon Donovan will be granting a special wish via The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Los Angeles this Thursday and Saturday at The Home Depot Center. Gerardo, who will turn 11-years-old on Monday, is bravely battling Lupus and will receive a once-in-a-lifetime early birthday present this week, fulfilling his most heartfelt wish, courtesy of the Galaxy captain.

Gerardo will see his wish come true Thursday morning when he visits The Home Depot Center to watch a Galaxy training session up close, before meeting the Galaxy captain after the session.

The Make-A-Wish Foundationgrants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Founded in 1980 when a group of caring volunteers helped a young boy fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer, the Foundation is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world.

The Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation was formed in 1983. Last month, the charter granted its 7,000th wish for a child with a life-threatening medical condition.
