LA Galaxy’s Clint Mathis joins Habitat for Humanity to build homes for ten local families

Carson, Calif. – Former LA Galaxy forward Clint Mathis will be assisting in building homes with Habitat for Humanity for ten deserving Habitat partner families as part of the AEG Build Day on Friday, November 5 at 8 a.m. in Lynwood, Calif. The recently crowned 2011 Miss LA Galaxy, Corona-resident Lara Hosseinzadeh, along with 2011 Miss LA Galaxy court members Monique Garcia and Chelsea McGrath, will also be attending the build site, which is located near Imperial Highway.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit that seeks to eliminate poverty, housing and homelessness from the world. Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need. Habitat has built more than 300,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1.5 million people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, simple, decent, affordable shelter.

The Imperial Highway development utilizes a shared wall design to maximize the number of homes on the lot and will include resident parking and a play area for children.
