NEW YORK — The LA Galaxy's 2-1 defeat of the Seattle Sounders on Sunday night gave the Galaxy a 3-1 aggregate win in the series and a home date with FC Dallas in the Western Conference Championship.
The Conference Championship will take place on Sunday, November 14, at 9 pm ET/6 pm, at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. It will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, and ESPN3.com.
The Galaxy are returning to the Western Conference Championship for the second straight year. In 2009, they overcame the Houston Dynamo and reached the MLS Cup final for the first time since lifting the trophy in 2005. The Galaxy lost to Real Salt Lake in penalties in the final.
FC Dallas, who earned a 3-2 aggregate win over RSL, are making their first playoff appearance since 2007. They have never reached the MLS Cup final.
