CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, November 18, 2010) – The Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation will partner with The Home Depot Center Charitable Foundation to serve a warm Thanksgiving meal to 250 local children and families who are in need. The eighth annual Foundations’ Feast will be held in the American Express Stadium Club at The Home Depot Center on Monday, November 22, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
WHO: LA Galaxy Defender Omar González, LA Galaxy Goalkeeper Josh Saunders, 2011 Miss LA Galaxy, 2010 and 2011 Miss LA Galaxy Court Members as well as staff from the LA Galaxy, The Home Depot Center, Athletes’ Performance, ESPN and United States Tennis Association to serve Thanksgiving meals to local children and families.

Levy Restaurants and the Levy Cares Foundation will be providing all side dishes, and for the eighth year in a row, Farmer John will be donating hams. Additional donors and supporters include Bristol Farms (turkeys), Marie Callender’s Restaurant & Bakery (pies), Two Chefs on a Roll (desserts), King’s Hawaiian (rolls), Ralphs Store #225 (gift cards), and Vons – Gardena (gift cards).
The program will also include a showing of the award-winning animated short film, The Snow Princess, directed by Audrey Genevieve Holland. The seven-minute animated film has played in more than 30 film festivals around the globe, winning several awards in its travels. Holland will be on-hand to greet kids and introduce the film.
Media members wishing to attend this event are asked to park in Lot 15 and proceed to the Southwest entrance adjacent to parking Lot 15.
