CARSON, Calif. (Friday, May 27, 2011) – The LA Galaxy are proud to announce the kick off of the 10th annual Copa LA Youth Soccer Tournament, presented by La Curacao, this Memorial Day weekend at the Ab Brown Soccer Complex in Riverside, Calif. The Copa LA tournament will run from Saturday, May 28 through Monday, May 30 with the finals for each age group to be played on Monday.
Copa LA 2011 will feature 160 of the top youth soccer teams in the region, including the LA Galaxy Youth Academy’s very own U-12, U-13, U-14 and U-15 teams. The youth teams on display at this highly competitive tournament range from U-8 to U-19.
This year’s Copa LA will again make for a memorable Memorial Day weekend for everyone. Players and families will be treated to a fun and competitive soccer weekend that will include sponsor booths, t-shirts and appearances by Galaxy players.
Copa LA provides a unique opportunity for players to be seen by Galaxy Academy coaches and scouts, who are looking to unearth the untold talent that abounds throughout Southern California for the LA Galaxy Youth Academy.
