Beckham visits York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital

NEW YORK – All-Star David Beckham visited with patients at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital while in New York to participate in the 2011 AT&T MLS All-Star Game.

The visit was on behalf of MLS W.O.R.K.S., Major League Soccer’s community outreach initiative, and facilitated by Hope & Heroes Children's Cancer Fund, which supports the childhood cancer program. The MLS All-Stars take on Manchester United in the 2011 AT&T MLS All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 27 at Red Bull Arena (8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT on ESPN2, TeleFutura, and TSN).

Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund will also be the recipient of a $25,000 donation on behalf of MLS W.O.R.K.S.

Hope & Heroes Children's Cancer Fund supports the medical treatment of children with cancer and their families. Hope & Heroes philanthropic beneficiary is the Herbert Irving Child & Adolescent Oncology Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.
