CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, September 15, 2011) – LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham will be a guest tomorrow on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", which will air on KNBC 4 at 4 p.m. Currently in his fifth season with the Galaxy, Beckham is having one of his best seasons with the club, tallying an MLS-career-high 12 assists, good for the second most in MLS, while helping the Galaxy return to the MLS Cup Playoffs for the third straight season. The 36-year-old has also scored a pair of goals this year and has the Galaxy in position to win the Supporters’ Shield, which goes to the team with the best regular season record in the league, for the second straight season.
The Galaxy, who became the first team in MLS to clinch a berth in the 2011 MLS Cup Playoffs, are back in action this Saturday, September 17 when they host Vancouver Whitecaps FC. That game will be played at The Home Depot Center with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
