CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy’s first road game of the 2012 MLS season, at Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, April 7, will now kick off at 1 p.m. (PT). The game, which will be played at Livestrong Sporting Park, was originally scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m. but has now been moved forward an hour. As a result of the time change, the game will now be broadcast nationally on ESPN as opposed to ESPN2. ESPN Deportes will also broadcast the game nationally in Spanish.
This will be the Galaxy’s second trip to Livestrong Sporting Park, which opened in June 2011. Sean Franklin scored twice there last year in LA’s 2-2 draw with Sporting on September 5.
The LA Galaxy opened the 2012 preseason on Monday at The Home Depot Center. The club will play their first official game of 2012 on Wednesday, March 7 when they face Toronto FC in the first leg of their 2011/12 CONCACAF Champions League Quarterfinal, which will be played at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They will open the 2012 MLS season three days later on Saturday, March 10 when they host Real Salt Lake at The Home Depot Center in MLS First Kick 2012, presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods. That game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. (PT) and tickets are on sale now as part of season ticket packages as well as three and six-game plans. Visit www.lagalaxy.com/tickets to purchase Season Tickets.
