LA Galaxy Trade Goalkeeper Bill Gaudette

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, July 13, 2012) – The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has traded goalkeeper Bill Gaudette to the New York Red Bulls in exchange for New York’s second round pick in the 2014 MLS Supplemental Draft. The 30-year-old was signed by the Galaxy in February after impressing on a preseason trial with the club. He appeared in three regular season games for LA this season, recording a 0-2-1 record with a 1.33 goals against average.


Gaudette, who began his MLS career with the Columbus Crew in 2005, made his Galaxy debut in the 1-1 home draw with FC Dallas on April 28. He went on to start the losses to Seattle and New York, making a total of seven saves in his three appearances. In addition to those three games, Gaudette also played in LA’s U.S. Open Cup Third Round game against the Carolina RailHawks and made a pair of appearances in the MLS Reserve League.


The Galaxy will be back in action on Saturday, July 14 when they take on the Portland Timbers at JELD-WEN Field. That game is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. and can be seen live on the NBC Sports Network. MATCH PREVIEW
