Galaxy reserves one step closer to top spot in Reserve League's West Division

Good morning all,

Scoreboard watching has become part of the LA Galaxy's regular routine as of late as the club looks to rise up the Western Conference standings in the hopes of securing a spot  among the West's top three. On Sunday, the Galaxy reserves did some scoreboard watching of their own when the San Jose Earthquakes reserves fell 3-0 to the Seattle Sounders reserves.

LA's reserve squad are currently in second place in the West Division, one point behind the Earthquakes and with Seattle's victory, need only a win over the Vancouver Whitecaps on October 12th to clinch the West Division title.  Remember, that neither LA nor SJ can clinch the "Reserve League Championship" as the honor is awarded to the team with the highest point total among MLS' three conferences.

I'll have more on Saturday's action (including the Alumni vs. Under-18 match) and my latest feature on LAGalaxy.com as the day goes on.
