LA Galaxy to host championship celebration on Monday night at The Home Depot Center

CARSON, Calif. (Sunday, December 2, 2012) –After winning their second straight MLS Cup on Saturday with a 3-1 win over the Houston Dynamo at The Home Depot Center, the LA Galaxy will host a Championship Celebration at The Home Depot Center on Monday night. Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena and the complete team, including MLS Cup MVP Omar Gonzalez, David Beckham and goal scorers Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane will be in attendance at the event, which will kick off at 7 p.m. inside the Tennis Stadium at The Home Depot Center. Stadium gates will open at 6 p.m.

Admission and parking to the Championship Celebration will be free and fans will be able to honor the back-to-back MLS Cup champions in addition to taking a photo with the 2012 MLS Cup. Fans will also be able to purchase their official MLS Cup championship gear and can receive a patch of grass from the field for just a $5 donation to the LA Galaxy Foundation. There will also be food and drink specials throughout the night including $1 hot dogs and popcorn and $2 beers. The 2002, 2005 and 2011 MLS Cup trophies will also be on display.

The Galaxy have now won four MLS Cup championships, tying them with D.C. United for the most in league history. LA’s eight appearances in the league championship are an MLS record.
