LA Galaxy to close out preseason against Rapids

CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, February 13, 2013) – The LA Galaxy announced today that the club will play their final preseason game of the year on Friday, Feb. 22 against the Colorado Rapids. That game, which will be played at Harder Stadium on the campus of the University of California – Santa Barbara, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. This will be LA’s seventh and final game of the preseason and their second against MLS opposition.


“We are excited to play in Santa Barbara against the Colorado Rapids,” said LA Galaxy Head Coach Bruce Arena. “Since this game will be our final preseason game of the year, we consider this game to be critically important to the development of our team as we head into our season opener on March 3.”

The Galaxy will open the 2013 MLS regular season just more than a week after the game against Colorado, on Sunday, March 3 when they host the Chicago Fire at The Home Depot Center. Four days later, on Thursday, March 7, the club will travel to Costa Rica to take on CS Herediano in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal.
