CARSON, Calif. (Friday, July 26, 2013) – The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has agreed to loan defender Bryan Gaul and midfielder Kenney Walker to the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the NASL. Both players are scheduled to begin training with the Strikers at the start of next week ahead of their NASL Fall Season opener against the New York Cosmos on August 3. The loan is scheduled to run through the end of the year.

Neither Gaul nor Walker have appeared in a regular season game for the Galaxy this season, though Walker did play 90 minutes in the loss to Carolina in the Third Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on May 29.

As rookies in 2012, both Gaul and Walker were a part of the Galaxy team that won their second straight MLS Cup championship. Gaul appeared in 19 games in all competitions, making 11 starts and registering one assist. Walker appeared in four games in all competitions, making one league appearance while starting three games in the CONCACAF Champions League.

The Galaxy are back in action this weekend when they travel to Colorado to face the Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Saturday afternoon. That game, which is the second of three meetings between the two sides this season, kicks off at 4 p.m. (PT) and can be seen live on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes. That will be LA’s final MLS game before beginning play in the Guinness International Champions Cup next week.
