Donovan's goal was his 131th MLS Regular Season goal of his career putting him just four away from breaking Jeff Cunningham's mark of 134 goals. The goal marks the third week that a strike by a Galaxy player has been nominated by MLSsoccer.com with Donovan’s first goal against FC Dallas and Robbie Keane’s late game finish against Real Salt Lake each failing to win the honor.
