Former LA Galaxy goalkeeper Kevin Hartman announced his retirement on Sunday ending a 17-year career that saw him become the league's all-time leader in minutes played.
Hartman who played for the Galaxy from 1997 to 2006 was a key component in a Galaxy side that won two MLS Cups, two U.S. Open Cups, and two Supporters' Shields during his tenure. Following his time with the Galaxy, Hartman had stops with the Kansas City Wizards, FC Dallas, and finally the New York Red Bulls. Known as "El Gato" or "The Cat", Hartman ends his career with the all-time leads in minutes played (37,260), saves (1,474), wins (180), and shutouts (112).
