LA Galaxy have bye week before facing the Colorado Rapids | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, April 21, 2014) – The LA Galaxy (2-1-2, 8 points) will train at StubHub Center all week in advance of the team’s bye weekend. After a weekend off from MLS play, the LA side will continue its four-game road swing when it travels to Denver to take on the Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sports Goods Park on Saturday, May 3 at 6:00 p.m. PT live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes.

In the first game of the Galaxy’s longest road trip of the season, Bruce Arena’s side saw the lead slip away twice as it settled for a 2-2 draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BC Place. Stefan Ishizaki opened scoring in the 38th minute. The Swedish midfielder has tallied two goals and two assists in his first five appearances with the Galaxy. Robbie Keane found the back of the net in the 77th minute, giving the Galaxy a late lead before Kekuta Manneh made things level at two goals apiece in the 86th minute.

Despite a post-season surgery on both of his Achilles tendons, Keane is off to the best start to a season while in a Galaxy shirt. The Irish forward has tallied in four consecutive MLS league matches for the first time since joining the Galaxy in 2011. The Galaxy captain has 38 goals and 22 assists in 60 MLS appearances.
