LA Galaxy II forward Chandler Hoffman and defender Daniel Steres named to USL PRO Team of the Week

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, April 22, 2014) – LA Galaxy II forward Chandler Hoffman and defender Daniel Steres were named to the USL PRO Team of the Week for Week 5 of the 2014 USL PRO season after helping the team return to the top of the USL PRO standing with a 3-1 victory over the Orange County Blues FC on Saturday night.


Additionally, Galaxy II forward Jack McBean and midfielder Rafael Garcia were named as honorable mentions after their strong performance in Saturday’s victory.


Galaxy first team loanee Hoffman scored the game winning goal after Galaxy Homegrown Player Jack McBean headed down an Oscar Sorto cross perfectly onto the path of the forward who finished easily from close range. Steres also had a strong defensive performance as Los Dos defeated Orange County and was vital in closing out the Blues attack.


Hoffman leads USL PRO in points per match (1.5) and total points (six), goals (three), goals per match (0.75), shots (16) and shots per match (4.0). McBean leads USL PRO in assists per match (1.00) and is tied for the league lead with teammate Raul Mendiola in total assists (three).


Los Dos return to action on April 25 when they travel to Phoenix to take on Arizona United in the club’s first ever road match. The game will take place at 7:10 p.m. at Peoria Sports Complex.
