CARSON, Calif. (Monday, April 28, 2014) – The LA Galaxy (2-1-2, 8 points) continue their four-game road trip when they travel to Denver to take on the Colorado Rapids (3-2-2, 11 points) at Dick’s Sports Goods Park on Saturday, May 3 at 6:00 p.m. PT live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes.
The Galaxy are 10-16-5 against the Rapids in Colorado. All-time, the LA side is 32-23-7 against its Western Conference foes. The Galaxy enter Saturday’s match having fallen to the Rapids in their last two meetings. Saturday will mark the first time since 2012 that the Galaxy will meet the Rapids with all three designated players available.
Landon Donovan will continue his pursuit of the MLS regular season all-time goals mark Saturday at altitude. Donovan, currently with 134 goals, has two MLS matches remaining before the United States gathers in Stanford, Calif. for the U.S. Men’s National Team World Cup camp. Over the course of his 14-year MLS career, Donovan has tallied 10 goals and 13 assists against the Rapids, with six goals and six assists coming as a member of the Galaxy.
Robbie Keane is off to the best start to a season while in a Galaxy shirt. The Irish forward has tallied in four consecutive MLS league matches for the first time since joining the Galaxy in 2011. The Galaxy captain has 38 goals and 22 assists in 60 MLS appearances.
