CARSON, Calif. (Saturday, May 24, 2014) – LA Galaxy II (5-2-3, 18 points) return to action on Sunday when they host OKC Energy FC (2-6-0, 6 points) in USL PRO Week 10 action at StubHub Center on Sunday, May 25 at 8:00 p.m. PT. All of the action will be streamed live via lagalaxy.com and the club’s YouTube channel with play-by-play commentary from LA Galaxy broadcast veteran Joe Tutino.

The Galaxy II – Energy FC match will be part of the Galaxy Family Reunion night with a Galaxy Alumni game starting at 2:00 p.m., the LA Galaxy taking on the Philadelphia Union at 5:00 p.m. and Galaxy II playing OKC Energy FC at 8:00 p.m. at StubHub Center.

Last Saturday evening, Galaxy II dropped a 2-1 decision to Sacramento Republic FC as Los Dos saw their six-game unbeaten run in USL PRO snapped in front of 20,231 fans at Hughes Stadium. Defender Kyle Venter headed home a cross from captain Rafael Garcia, in what was Venter’s first professional goal, but Los Dos’ comeback fell short in a 2-1 loss at Sacramento. With the result, Los Dos remain in second place USL PRO with 18 points but and are now six points behind Orlando City SC.

After a solid defensive performance against Sacramento Republic FC, Galaxy II defender Bradley Diallo was named to the USL PRO Team of the Week for Week 9 of the 2014 USL PRO season. Diallo’s honor is the tenth time that any Galaxy II player has made the USL PRO Team of the Week list this year.

Sunday’s match against Energy FC will mark the second of four times that Galaxy II will face off against OKC. In their first meeting, Los Dos picked up their second victory of their inaugural USL PRO campaign with a 4-2 win on April 7 at the StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium. After falling behind early on a goal by Oklahoma City’s Peabo Doue, Galaxy II scored three times in the first half as Laurent Courtois, Chandler Hoffman and Daniel Steres found the back of the net for LA. Oklahoma City tried to rally in the second half as substitute Pete Caringi tallied early on but the equalizing goal eluded Energy FC and Aleksandar Đoković sealed the deal for Galaxy II with a stoppage time goal.

Energy FC enter the match looking to turnaround a 2-6-0 record in league play after dropping a 4-1 result to the Richmond Kickers last Friday night at Pribil Stadium. Energy FC currently sit in 13th place of the USL PRO standings with six points. Following Sunday’s contest, Energy FC travels to Peoria, Arizona to face Arizona United SC in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup.

After Sunday’s match, Galaxy II will also shift its focus to U.S. Open Cup action as Los Dos play PSA Elite in the third round of the Open Cup on Wednesday, May 28 at StubHub Center's Track and Field Stadium at 7:30 PM PT.
