Omar Gonzalez to participate in Google+ Hangout on Sunday

CARSON, Calif. – LA Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez will answer fans questions in a Google+ Hangout on Sunday from U.S. Men’s National Team Camp in Palo Alto, Calif.


The Hangout starts at 3:00 p.m. PT and will serve as an appetizer to the LA Galaxy’s Major League Soccer match with the Philadelphia Union. Gonzalez will be participating in the hangout alongside Houston Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis.



Select Galaxy fans will be awarded the opportunity to participate in the Google+ Hangout on Air. In addition to fielding questions in the Google+ Hangout, the moderator will also ask questions that have been submitted through social media and with the #ForClubAndCountry hashtag.



The U.S. will play three matches in the Send-Off Series from May 27-June 7 in San Francisco, New York and Jacksonville, Florida. The Send-Off Series kicks off with USA vs. Azerbaijan, powered by Yingli Solar, at 7 p.m. PT on Tuesday, May 27, at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. The USA then hosts Turkey at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 1, at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, before traveling to Jacksonville, Florida, to face Nigeria on June 7 at 6 p.m. ET at EverBank Field. All three Send-Off Series matches will be broadcast live on ESPN2, WatchESPN, UniMas and ESPN Deportes Radio. Fans can also follow the games live on Twitter @ussoccer.
