LA Galaxy look to extend two-game winning streak in Chicago | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, May 27, 2014) – The LA Galaxy (4-3-3, 15 points) look to extend their two-game winning streak when they head to Chicago to take on the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park on Sunday, June 1 at 1pm PT live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes.


The Galaxy are 19-15-4 all-time against the Fire and 9-9-1 in matches played in the Windy City. The Galaxy are unbeaten in their last five matches against the Fire including two wins and one draw at Toyota Park.


Over the weekend, the Galaxy ran roughshod over the Philadelphia Union in a 4-1 win in which Galaxy forward Landon Donovan broke the MLS all-time goal scoring record, scoring his 135th and 136th goals in MLS regular season competition. Donovan, who was named MLS Player of the Week today, has tallied eight goals and seven assists in 19 career regular season appearances against the Men in Red. 


Strike partner Robbie Keane has also continued his fine run of form to start the season. The Irish international has seven goals and three assists in the Galaxy’s first 10 games of the season. When Donovan and Keane have paired together up top the Galaxy are 11-3-6 with 30 goals and 21 assists among them.
