CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Nov. 3, 2014) – The LA Galaxy’s First To Five postseason quest to become the first team in MLS to win five MLS Cup trophies continues this Sunday, Nov. 9 at 4:30 p.m. PT when the team faces Real Salt Lake at StubHub Center in the second leg of the Western Conference Semifinals live on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes.

In the first match of the series, the Galaxy earned a 0-0 draw behind six saves from goalkeeper Jaime Penedo. The Galaxy would advance to the Western Conference Championship with a win on Sunday while Real Salt Lake can advance with a win or draw should they score at least one goal at StubHub Center.
With a 27-9-5 record in the MLS Cup Playoffs, LA Galaxy Head Coach Bruce Arena is the winningest coach in MLS playoff history and the Galaxy are an MLS-best 27-7-2 in home playoff games. This season, the Galaxy went 12-1-4 at StubHub Center in MLS matches, outscoring opponents 44 to 14.
LA enters the match with an 11-11-6 regular season record against Salt Lake and a 2-1-2 record in MLS Cup Playoff matches.
The Galaxy finished the 2014 MLS Regular Season with a 17-7-10 record and 61 points, scoring 69 goals scored while allowing just 37. LA’s +32 goal differential was the best in MLS this season and the second-highest in League history, trailing only the 1998 Galaxy side that recorded a +41 goal differential. The team ended the regular season with just seven losses in their 34 matches, the fewest in MLS this season, having only lost only four matches in the team’s final 26 games.
