LA Galaxy Foundation unveil poster for Los Angeles Film And Entertainment Soccer Tournament -

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, Oct. 24, 2014) – The LA Galaxy Foundation unveiled the commemorative poster for this Saturday’s Los Angeles Film and Entertainment Soccer Tournament (LA FEST) at StubHub Center. Last month, LA Galaxy Foundation and Grassroot Soccer announced their partnership with Los Angeles Film and Entertainment Soccer Tournament (LAFEST) to host the second annual soccer tournament at StubHub Center this Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 beginning at 9:30 a.m. PT. LAFEST is the preeminent event of its kind that features a 5v5 tournament between film, entertainment, media and advertising professionals and celebrities who are passionate about soccer.

Designed by 2014 LAFEST media partner Howler Magazine, the event poster features LA Galaxy icon Landon Donovan to promote the soccer tournament on Saturday. In the poster, illustrated by Nick Iluzada, Donovan dons his LA Galaxy jersey while waiting in line for a casting call in Los Angeles to depict the film and entertainment industry. The poster will be available for purchase at StubHub Center during Saturday's tournament.

After a successful launch of LAFEST in 2013, Sony Pictures Classics EVP of Acquisitions & Production Dylan Leiner, filmmaker Jeffrey Saunders and Survivor: Africa winner Ethan Zohn partnered with Grassroot Soccer and the LA Galaxy Foundation in 2014 to host the second-ever LAFEST.

The 2013 tournament brought together such companies as WME, CAA, Gersh, the Kennedy/Marshall Company, Lionsgate, Anonymous Content, Paradigm, The Hollywood Reporter and Warner Bros., plus reality-show teams including The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, The Amazing Race and Survivor. Sony Pictures Classics took home the championship in the Advanced Bracket, Armstrong Casting in the Intermediate, and ICM Partners in the Novice.

Additionally, there will be an online gaming stream on crowdfunding platform Tiltify.com where fans both near and far can donate and will have a chance to watch and even compete with some of their favorite celebrities at Electronic Arts’ iconic FIFA 15. Tiltify most recently hosted a successful “Race Against Cancer” gaming stream that connected professional IndyCar drivers with fans to raise money.

Confirmed teams for the event include Sony Pictures Entertainment, The Black List, DreamWorks Studios, Lionsgate, Paradigm, The Amazing Race, Big Brother and LA Galaxy Alumni, among others.
