Goal of the Year presented by Tire Pros: Landon Donovan vs. Real Salt Lake

LA Galaxy Goal of the Year presented by Tire Pros

In one of the most lopsided victories in MLS Playoffs history, Landon Donovan completed his hat trick in the Western Conference Semifinal second leg against Real Salt Lake on a one-touch shot past Nick Rimando. Robbie Keane picked out Donovan, who made a run behind the Salt Lake backline, and played a ball over top to the MLS all-time leading scorer in stride. Donovan calmly touched the ball and directed it into the corner of the net.

From brilliant Tiki Taco sequences to volleys to remarkable finishes, there were more than a few stunning goals scored as the LA Galaxy marched to a record fifth MLS Cup championship. However, there can be only one 2014 LA Galaxy Goal of the Year presented by Tire Pros.
The contest will run from December 22 to January 5 and offers fans the chance to vote for their favorite strike. Once the voting is complete, the winning goal will be announced on Jan. 5.
